Hooray! The mystery of the washed out deviation colours has been solved!
Ever since I started shooting in RAW, I've found that when I upload my photos to the web, they lose most of their colour and vibrance. So, I'm glad I've now solved the problem, and will begin to go backwards through my RAW deviations and re-calibrate them appropriately. I might even now upload some of the photos I took while I was in the Philippines. I didn't upload any until now because they were so washed out when I uploaded them elsewhere, but now, I feel I have a new lease on... the web...?
For anyone else that might possibly stumble onto my page and coincidentally have the same problem, try opening your image in photoshop then going to Edit > Convert to Profile . From the "profile" drop down menu, select "sRGB IEC61966-2.1" and then from the "intent" drop down menu, select "Absolute Colorimetric".
Thank you Red-Snapper for helping me figure out what was going on there. And to marshrr for pitching in and throwing in your two cents in too. It all helped! And now I'm a very happy camper because I feel my work is more appropriately represented.
