This is a beautiful shot! it's also very sweet :) The sweetness caught my eye, but so did the actual photo- you have real talent.

The water is beautiful! It looks clear and almost like a statue. The way she's playing with it is stunning- you caught an innocent and great moment there. The girl stands out well against the gradually blurring BG too, and this is one of few BW shots that I feel should be in BW.

I've never seen a photo I love so much :) best of luck.

it is a gorgeous image - i really like the choice of monotone too (it's a slightly warmer b&w than many - gives it a real softness)

she looks so connected to the fountain - she's just *got to touch it* :P hehe, we were all like that one day !

my only piece of advice - it would be cool to make the fullsize image smaller - as nice as the detail is, it takes up way too many screens :P

but great stuff...will be heading over to your gallery now...

I know, the full-size-being-too-large comment is one I've gotten many times, and I plan to remedy it as soon as I figure out how. Unfortunately, I'm a bit slow on the uptake when it comes to computers *groan*

This is a great photograph. I did notice one small detail that I think may have made it slightly better. If you had been able to focus on the first fountain you should have been able to get it and her in focus even with the speed and depth of field you were using. Or you could have used a 3.5 at 750 focused on the first fountain and had a little wider depth of field with out lossing any crispness. Focus and depth of field is something we will always play with to get it just right. This is still a great photograph and definatly a :+fav: from me. =D

Wow, thanks for taking the time to assess my photo and offer such a specific and detailed suggestion! It's much appreciated and I'll be sure to play around with the depth and focal range in my fiddlings to come ;)
